One of the bands I have the pleasure to be part of will be playing live at King King on the 17th of November.

To warm up for the show, I’m leaving you guys with a little video of a show we played recently. Hope you dig it.

Have yourself a wonderful Wednesday!

I’m not sure where you guys get all of your music from but in the age of streaming, certain features may be quite helpful, especially when all you need is some me-time of pure music listening, no intervals, no advertising.

I recently found a plug in for Google Chrome, which is one of my favorite, most used browsers that might also help you.

SoundControl for Pandora will mute commercials and help you out by letting you enjoy a flawless musical experience! I love it! Click here to check it out.

When all I need is a little bass-related fun, I surely love to look for them GIFs and memes of music-related content all over the internets.

It’s easily one of my favorite things. I’m sure this sloth over here agrees with me, especially after dropping the bass so hard:

What about this cat? It looks like it’s getting the willies out of the tune it’s rocking!

Anyhoo, what you really should be mindful of what is the power of dropping that bass… things could get ugly…

Have an awesome Tuesday, folks!

Les Claypool is an awesome dude.

He’s not only the frontman of Primus, he’s also a film director and writer. What many people aren’t really aware is that he’s also a keen fly-fisher. He was interviewed for Fly Fishing the World. During one of his interviews, he claimed he loves the ocean but finds surfing quite terrifying, especially because of the countless horror stories he has heard of friends being in terrible accidents while on a surfboard.

The coolest thing about Claypool though is the fact he wrote the theme song for South Park!

Here’s the man himself talking about the South Park theme:

Well… and it’s Monday.

Because today is a special day for the many of us who must show up for work that finances our true aspirations, I decided to share a little bit of fun bass-playing time. Hope you dig it:

It’s that time… you’re broke and your strings need a revival but you’re tired of all the hard work you have to put into it to get them looking and feeling like new.

No Treble posted a very interesting piece on how to get your old strings ready for a few more rounds of fierce playing that I liked very much.

The video shows a particularly unique way of having your strings revived without having to use alcohol and I think I’m going to be using it myself!

Check the article out or watch the video below:

“Don’t make people pay for music. Let them.”

We found this Ted Talk with The Dresden Dolls‘ Amanda Palmer quite interesting. She tells her particularly interesting story in a way that makes you think that we might have gotten this whole Music Biz system wrong.

She looks deep into the soul of the performer and the fan and creates a bridge that is lighter than sound, more sturdy than stone. I think you might want to check it out…

Have a nice weekend!
